Clinic MembersClinic Members are volunteer-supported, health safety-net organizations that provide a range of medical, dental, pharmacy, and/or behavioral health services to economically disadvantaged individuals. Such clinics are 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit organizations, or operate as a program component or affiliate of a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Entities that otherwise meet the above definition, but charge a nominal/sliding fee to patients, may still be considered free or charitable clinics provided essential services are delivered regardless of the patient's ability to pay. Free or charitable clinics restrict eligibility for their services to individuals who are uninsured, underinsured and/or have limited or no access to primary, specialty or prescription health care.

Associate Clinic MembersIt is a 501(c)3 organization that meets the definition of a free clinic and is interested in the services and support provided by VAFCC. Associate Clinic Members are those that may not be able to meet all VAFCC Membership Standards and are working towards full membership or simply enjoy being part of an association that supports the clinic, provides technical assistance and advocates on behalf of the clinic and its patients. Associate Clinic Members enjoy most of the same benefits offered to Full Clinic Members, excluding receiving funding.
