VAFCC Welcomes New Board Members

We are pleased to have two clinic leaders joining the board of directors.

In their own words:

Cindy Rockett, Executive Director, Crossroads Medical Mission

I have been in a leadership role with Crossroads Medical Mission for nearly twenty years and bring the unique perspective of a smaller health care clinic that has served Virginia and Tennessee patients primarily via a mobile medial clinic. Additionally, I am able to find a silver lining in most situations. If things look bleak, I will offer an upbeat perspective and not make snap judgments in situations. I appreciate the talents others bring to the table and I'm grateful to learn from perspectives other than my own!

Helen Scott, Executive Director, Healing Hands Health Center

I have been the Executive Director of Healing Hands Health Center and a member of the VAFCC for 18 years. I am the co-founder of Tennessee's Association of Free & Charitable Clinics called the Tennessee Charitable Care Network. I am dedicated to and have a strong commitment to advance the VAFCC's mission of supporting and advocating for member clinics so that Virginia's underserved have access to quality care.

VAFCC is governed by an all-volunteer board of directors working to realize the mission and vision of the association. If you are interested in a position on the VAFCC Board, or wish to nominate someone, please contact us.
