VAFCC Welcomes New Board Members
In their own words:
Chet Hart, Executive Director, Western Tidewater Free Clinic
I have worked in healthcare for 40+ years serving in various positions from financial management to hospital administration to practice management and have found my service as the leader of a free clinic as the most rewarding experience of my career.
Jenny Daniels, Exective Director, Christian Free Clinic in Botetourt
As the Executive Director of a small free clinic, I can empathize with other clinics operating with a staff of one. Coordinating and working with volunteers is a delightful and humbling experience. I rise to the challenge of creating a positive volunteer experience as they are are the heartbeat of a small clinic.
Karen Dulaney, Exective Director, Llyod F. Moss Free Clinic
I have been on the staff since January 1995 and in that time I have strived to expand and improve the Clinic's services in order to meet the healthcare needs of our very deserving community of patients. Today, the Clinic employs 33 staff members, has a $2.2 million budget, and serves nearly 2,000 patients each year.
Nancy White, Executive Director, Arlington Free Clinic
I believe it is important to have representation from a free clinic caring for a majority immigrant population. The needs, the opportunities and the challenges of these patients are unique. I'm also dedicated to health equity issues and the impact of social determinants on the health of our patients.
VAFCC is governed by an all-volunteer board of directors working to realize the mission and vision of the association. If you are interested in a position on the VAFCC Board, or wish to nominate someone, please contact us.
