VAFCC Membership Grows
VAFCC welcomes two new associate clinic members.
The VAFCC's membership continues to grow with the addition of associate members, Path to Peace Counseling Services and Youth For Tomorrow Behavioral Health Services. These two organizations join a membership that now totals 71 free and charitable clinics across the state working towards a Virginia where all people have access to comprehensive, quality healthcare.
With a mission to promote mental wellness through counseling, education, and supportive services, Path to Peace Counseling Services, located in Wytheville, believes mental health care is a fundamental right and not a privilege. Therefore, they are committed to walking alongside individuals and families on their journey toward healing and peace. Established in 2025, PTPCS offers individual therapy, couples & marriage counseling, family therapy, addiction counseling, and trauma-informed care. Currently, all services are provided by telehealth, however in person services are coming soon with a brick and mortar location opening.
Youth For Tomorrow, located in Richmond, provides comprehensive outpatient mental health and counseling services to children ages five and older, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Services are designed to support individuals and families from diverse backgrounds to meet urgent behavioral health needs in the community, prevent hospitalization, reduce suicides and addiction, and improve overall mental health care for children and adults.
"With our VAFCC membership, we're excited to deepen our impact through strengthening referral partnerships, expanding collaborative learning, enhancing sustainability, strengthening our collective voice, and accessing diverse professional development resources," shared Carl Street, VP for Behavioral Health Services.
