Open enrollment for health coverage runs November 1 to January 15.
The open enrollment period for Plan Year 2025 officially began on November 1 and Virginians can shop on Virginia's Insurance Marketplace for their health insurance. The Marketplace serves Virginians who are unemployed, self-employed, or do not have access to affordable insurance options through their employer. The Marketplace also serves individuals who have lost their Medicaid coverage. The Marketplace is the Commonwealth's official platform for browsing, comparing, and purchasing high-quality health plans that fit the needs of Virginians — and their budgets. It's the only place where Virginians can apply for financial savings to help lower their monthly health insurance costs. 9 out of 10 consumers qualify for financial savings on the Marketplace.
The open enrollment period ends January 15, 2025. Individuals and vamily plans including stand along dental plans are available to those who don't have access to affordable health coverage, visit www.marketplace.virginia.gov to enroll now. Enrollment assistance is available through the Marketplace's Consumer Assistance Center. Their hours of operation are M-F 8am-7pm ET and Saturday 9am-12pm ET. Virginians can contact the CAC for help enrolling and to ask questions at 888-687-1501. Enrollment assistance is also available through the Marketplace's network of assisters and agents.
