VAFCC Selects Director of Member Support
The Virginia Association of Free and Charitable Clinics welcomes newest staff member.Michelle Taylor has been with Rx Partnership since December 2015 as the Director of Programs. During her tenure she ensured clinics, and ultimately patients, received critical medication, providing training through our annual Roundtable, spearheaded the change to the Rx Reporting Solutions database system and generally supported clinics in any and all ways needed.
Prior to coming on board at Rx Partnership, Michelle was the Pharmacy Coordinator with Crossover Healthcare Ministry in Richmond, Virginia. There, she oversaw and redesigned the pharmacy operations of the clinic and tripled the productivity of pharmacy output over three years. She also coordinated and supervised volunteers at multiple pharmacy locations.
In this position, which she will begin on September 9, Michelle will work directly with member clinics to ensure the knowledge and resources needed to successfully provide quality health care services to low-income, uninsured and underserved individuals in Virginia.
"I am passionate about helping people in both my personal and professional life, so I am most looking forward to being able to assist the safety net clinics across Virginia in a larger capacity," reports Taylor. In her spare time, Michelle has been a Girl Scout Troop leader for over 10 years and a health coach for 4 years. She also enjoys camping with her husband of 20 years and their 4 teenage children.
